Alfuzosin ((R,S)-North-[3-[(4-amino-6,7-dimethoxy-2-quinazolinyl) methylamino] propyl] tetrahydro-Two-furancarboxamide, provided when a hydrochloride salt) is an alpha-adrenergic blocker used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It works by relaxing a muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, making it easier to urinate.

Side effects

A usual side results come dizziness (due to postural hypotension), upper respiratory tract infection, headache, and fatigue.

Contraindications

Alfuzosaround should become utilized by using caution in patients with severe renal insufficiency, and should non exist as prescribed to patients by using the known history of QT prolongation or to patients who come ingesting medications known to prolong a QT interval.
